Moving ahead. Painted the vents by the doors. Came out really good. Will next work on the inner vents. Also ordered wheel liners, so they will happen after they arrive.
Don't like the auto stop/start every time I come to a stop. Tried it for 4 months now. Lately, I have been punching the dash button to shut it off. Tired of having to do that each time a start-up. So, yesterday I installed the Start/Stop Eliminator by 4D Tech. Doesn't change any programing or affect warranty. Installs in the OBD port. Seems to work great. A days worth of testing my not be conclusive, but at this point, it seems to be a good move.
The one thing I had to do was to get a two port OBD cable. I have a Blackvue dash cam I also plug into the OBD, so need a second one. Ten dollars.
Worked some more on the dash. Got it about where I want it. Decided to paint the bezel on the console black. Not happy with the work I did, will require more. Anyway like it at this point. Will live with it awhile before doing anything else.
Decided to try the stubby antenna. Wasn't sure I would like it, but I do. Always raked the OEM on the garage door when entering and leaving. The $25 on Amazon. Got on that is springy/flexible and not solid.
Spent the past 6 weeks in Durango, CO. Mileage improve dramatically. From 15.5ish to 18.1. City driving is harder. I ordered the Performance chip for F150 by Chip Your Car. I got the stage 3. Says it will gain 4-6 mpg. Anyone know how close this is?
Thought the price was good and says 60 hp gain. We will see. But input appreciated.
