Maybe I shouldn't say "build" since I'm not doing anything major, but figured I'd start a thread to track my progress as I do little stuff here and there.
I bought this 2007 F150 2wd King Ranch earlier this week. It's not my primary vehicle but I wanted something to tow a small camper and just for general pickup truck chores.
It has 120k miles and so far everything appears to be in perfect condition other than a lot of wear on the seats.
The leather looks like it's never been cleaned or conditioned since new. I spent a few hours trying to bring it back to life with mixed success. I started by gently pushing some hot soapy towels against it to bring out the dirt. Then wiped down with some of the new style Lexol cleaner, then Lexol conditioner, then Neatsfoot oil. The leather sucked up an entire bottle of conditioner and 8oz bottle of the oil and still looks dry so I'm going to work on them more this weekend. So far a lot of the stains are less apparent and the leather has an entirely different feel. Actually a little soft and flexible instead of all dried out. Long way to go before it actually looks good but I have high hopes.
Found some 2020 F150 take off wheels on Craigslist. I needed tires anyway so $700 for a set of these with pretty new rubber was an easy call. Really sharp looking wheels in my opinion.
Funny thing was the guy I bought them from had swapped them out for some goofy looking Fuel wheels from Discount Tire. That seems like a huge downgrade but worked out to my benefit.

I don’t understand 99% of the aftermarket wheel swaps- usually a downgrade in my book.
