I was looking at that too when I had it apart, I was thinking some kind of driving light, maybe a pencil type beam.

Question, what made you decide on the Whipple over the Roush and VMP superchargers?

Maybe you could do some cutting and put Rigid or Baja cubes there? lol that would be a very strictly off-road affair though, with them being so high up.

I think the "nostrils" on the XL, XLT, and STX actually look good the way they are. I hated the XL/XLT 2015-17 grille; yes, it made for an easy Raptor grille swap being standalone and less integrated, but just looked so cheap and tacked-on, like a Tradesman or SLT RAM. On 2018 there's actually some continuity and flow to the front end, like the Super Duty.

My 79 had a roll bar with (4) aircraft landing lights, almost got nailed by a peace officer coming home at 2 AM on a back road within blocks of my house, he said it looked like daylight coming around the curve..lol

I wanted to just start off with a basic safe "Warranty" tune and go from there, I'm still running that the latest version of that tune but that might change next spring.
Whipple was also first to offer a Super Charger kit for 2018s and had an actual product, I ordered my blower a few weeks after ordering the truck as soon as I had a VIN when Lethal Performance had a 15% off after Christmas sale. Roush had press release early on but didn't deliver actual product till late last summer as I recall. Not sure if they ever have sales either. They don't seem to be setup for the self installer as much as Whipple.
The Whipple is 100% reversible too if you decided for what ever reason it's not for you. The Roush requires some of the timing cover to be ground off, I think an A/C and balancer pulley also must be changed on a Roush.
All are good products, so I don't want to start a war.

With the supplied tune the Whipple makes about more 100WHP. Roush can make a lot of power too but their supplied tune is very conservative. I don't think VMP is doing 2018s yet, perhaps that's changed I haven't checked recently.
