Pride&joy
To whom it may concern,
I'm excited to announce that this thread represents the official start of my new project PRIDE&JOY. I have never publicly shared a project before now. Simply, because I have never had anything worth sharing.
But now ........
It's a 2017 F150 Lariat Chrome Package with 2nd GEN 3.5L EcoBoost,10R80 Transmission, 502A Equipment Group, FX4 OFF-ROAD Package, Technology Package, Advanced Security Package, and the Max. Trailer Tow Package. It has the Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat paint job, 20" Chrome King Ranch wheels, Twin-Panel Moonroof, Black Leather interior, and Power Running Boards.

PRIDE&JOY Voted Most Likely to Succeed In Breaking Necks.....
PRIDE&JOY The BaDunkADunk
To put my excitement into perspective let me describe my vehicle before this. It happened to be a 2003 F150 XL with 250k miles. It's the type of truck that makes identifying new damage from a fender bender practically pointless. It could get me from point A to B but not without careful consideration along the way. For example, the emissions system had some sort of "valve" that decided to stop working intermittently. During which point, the engine would "rev up" like a race car (kinda like a vacuum leak) when coming to a stop. I learned that by shifting to neutral before coming to a complete stop you could eliminate it stalling out....most times.
But regardless, you will be pissing off the people in front of you at traffic stops and drive-thrus or my personal favorite the people entering/exiting Walmart at the entrance crosswalk!!!
Honestly though this was the single largest issue with the truck. Sure the suspension creaked like a 400-year old abandoned wood floor, sure there are oil leaks popping up all over like chickenpox and not to mention the quirky electrical mishaps that seem to have a supernatural impression at times. But, all in all, it was still cranking and getting me to where I needed to go! (Great quality thats commonly overlooked!). So naturally, because of the "ol' beaters" resilence to quit running, when it came time to get a new truck I decided to give Fords F150 another round. And this time it would be the nicest\newest truck I've ever had. Hell, with the additional packages on this thing it's practically the nicest truck I've ever seen period! It's basically the Limited model but without the badges. And I like that it's not blatantly advertising luxury status. I mean besides it looking like a million bucks.
Anywho.........funny thing is you would think that now that I upgraded into the Jeffersons apartment I couldn't ask for more but.......NO.
Aren't we all suppose to be continually progressing?
At the time of this posting, I've had the truck for 3 months now. Its first official upgrade, naturally, was a matching red car seat for the boss man. Cause he likes to go fast too. I've also added a front bumper license plate to replace the dealer advertisement. Pictures will come soon. AND........within the last week I've discovered Forscan but we'll discuss that later.

So yea, now we're here. PROUD owner of an F150, finally. I'm excited to work on it and share my experience with you all. And I look forward to suggestions or feedback from anyone. Till next time........
