So I decided the first mod in my truck would be a switch panel. Once I got the truck I discovered that both the 12v socket and the cigarette lighter were constant power, which doesn't work for me. Im going to remove the cigarette lighter panel from the radio console and replace it with aluminum. On the new panel I will install a new 12v socket and 4 or 5 switches. The far right switch will control both of the power sockets.

I plan on using Dorman rocker switches from AutoZone




I will continue to update this thread over the next few days as I complete the project.

 

I ended up getting the panel completely installed in one night, soon I'll get to the wiring.
