New Power Boost
I temporarily lost my mind earlier today. I put in an order earlier today for a 2021 F150 Power Boost. The order will actually be sent into Ford the morning of 9/2. I have never ordered any vehicle built to exactly the specs I've wanted, instead just taking what was on the lot closest to what I wanted.
I guess there will not be much to report in this thread until an actual VIN is issued which will indicate it is officially in the que.
Anyway, it's a 2021 F-150 XLT, SuperCrew, 6.5' box, 3.5L PB Full Hybrid. The color is Carbonized Gray, 302A High, w/ Trailer Tow Package, XLT Chrome Appearance Pkg, 4x4, 7.2kw generator, Trailer Tow Mirrors, Power Adjustable Pedals, Partitioned Lockable Fold Flat Storage.
Ford is offering a $1,500 rebate for ordering a truck, plus 0% financing for 72 months. Plus this will be an A Plan purchase.
The promise of better fuel mileage over what I get currently in my 2014 F150 XLT SuperCab with 8' box, HDPP, and first generation 3.5L EB is nice, but the 7.2lw generator is the main driving force. I do tow a lot, currently a 6000# GVWR, 24.5 ft long trailer. It's normally weighs a little over 5K pounds after it crossed the CAT scales.
Now my biggest sweat is if the new truck has at least 1600# cargo capacity. It will be darn useless as a tow vehicle if it down in the 1400# range.
