I'm curious to know how you mounted that axe. Where did you find those holders?

Quick Fist clamps. I bought a box of them for other stuff and just happened to have two extra pairs left. So I figured why not stick an axe up there for backwoods work. Specifically this size of clamp. I also added paracord to the two most often gripped locations, which helps the clamps really bite down and hold it in place. No rattle, no vibration, never know it's even there.

Changed the throttle body for a new one, new one has a longer motor servo.

Much shiny.

Yellowed the fogs for the winter.

Very nice.

These should light up the road lines quite well when it's snowing terribly.

Thanks. That's exactly what I'm going for. I don't want to give it a big lift or giant tires, I just want it to be capable and understated.

That's what I'm doing on my 94. Clean resto with upgraded systems. I have my Durango if I want flashy.

After a fair amount of fiddling around, I got the OEM Autostart module mostly working. A long while back I picked up a remote on amazon for the AS-1455 Autostart in the truck, but I never could figure out how to get it programmed.

Well, today I got it programmed. The Autostart can lock, unlock, and keep the truck running when I take the key out (in Idle mode), so I know that the PATS bypass module is hooked up and good. I also know that the Autostart starter is getting plenty of juice (I replaced the three in-line fuses for the three wires under the dash). Only problem is that it won't actually start the truck.

It powers everything on like it's going to crank, but doesn't crank. I followed the crank wire to the starter and it's still okay, appears to be getting juice from the AS unit itself.

I now wonder if perhaps the hood pin is bad, because the only way I could get it into programming mode was to short the hood pin socket against ground instead of using the hood pin to flash it. It would explain why everything powers on as though it's going to start but it stops just short of cranking, because it could be corroded and it's telling me "I ain't starting until you close the hood".

Nope. I disconnected it entirely and nothing. So there's something up with its ability to crank. I might need to actually see a pro about it.

Oh, forgot to post here. I figured out the issue. The bypass is bad. I can leave my key in the ignition in Off and it fires up just fine.

The dealership wants me to bring it in before they'll tell me if the bypass can be reprogrammed to the truck (it's a ford OEM bypass that has a chip in it vs a key bypass). The local remote start place told me to take it to the dealership since it's OEM, or bring it in to get the entire shebang replaced.

Oh well. In other news, all my switches now glow properly when being used (they were never grounded for the LEDs). I'm also going to be wiring up the bed lights that I have on the rails and across the back of the tonneau, in the next couple of days.

Post pics of the bed lights when you get them on. I'd like to do something similar. Truck is shaping up nicely
