Yeah I've got a nano that I used to use as a iPod to workout with and it closes up in there nice. I have a Touch too and for that I just let it rest in the cup holder and throw it in the console or in the runner when I get out.

It truly is a shame that it has come to the point where things need to be hidden and "Thief Proof"

I have been having a problem with my rear drivers side window lately. It will roll down from the drivers control, but not up. It can only be rolled up from the rear drivers side window control. In an effort to fix the problem I attempted to clean my window contacts. Although this did not fix the problem, it did make it seem like the windows roll up "faster"... maybe it just me, but for anyone who wants to clean there contacts this is how it was done.

First remove the window controls

Then you remove the small clips that hold just the regulator box in place with the rest of the armrest piece.
You will be left with this:

Now you will have to remove similar clips to pull of the bottom section.

And before removing the top you will need to remove the switches.

This is easily accomplished with a small flathead. Push the switch down like your rolling down the window and pry up gently on the other side and they pop right off.

Now remove the top.

Clean the small metal contacts with rubbing alcohol and a q-tip

I was actually surprised by the amount of black "gook" and dirt came off. Just follow in reverse to put everything back together.

Although this didn't solve my problem, I figured i'd go ahead and write it up.

Also I'm thinking about installing red 12v neon tubes under the dash at the feet of the driver and passenger. I plan to pull the cigarette lighter and turn that into a 1 to 4 12v adapter which will allow me to run both lights + a gps and a radar detector.

Painted some of the exterior trim today... (Bed Sides, and Lower Valence panel) as well as the tow hooks. It turned out pretty good, I used Krylon Fusion Flat back and sprayed a UV resistant clear over the top of it. I'm not sure if I like it 100% but it looks way better than it did. No before shots, but here is the after.

I plan on doing the mirrors, handles, and the wiper cowl as well. Does anyone know how to remove the wiper cowl or the frill from the surround?

I had the same problem with my driver side window. It actually got to the point to where I couldn't roll it up at all. That just happened to be spring time in southern Georgia. (Lot's of rain) I took the part with the four window switches and the window lock switch to the Ford dealership, and as soon as the guy saw the part he said 2005 F150? I was like yea? He told me that he sells them all the time. The contact in the switch goes bad all the time, or atleast that's what he told me. Once I replaced it, and that was over a year and a half ago I never had another problem.

I've got to go by the dealership for the recall so I guess that's probably what I'll end up doing, do you remember how much it was?

Man I just replaced my switch cluster 3 weeks ago and mine is a 2005. Got the cluster from autozone for $56 I think. Dealership wanted around $80. Nice looking truck btw. My first vehicle was an 81 f100 ranger. They were full-size back then with a 351M.

The switch cluster that I bought from the dealership was around 60 bucks.
