A seller has the flares on ebay for $99 shipped, already painted.

Did you just stick them on or did you drill and use the clips?

Got the box carpeted! I made it a touch longer than my last box, so it's not totally flush with the seat, but it fits pretty well and doesn't bother anyone back there at all. Best of all it sounds awesome!

I used the predrilled holes of the flares coupled with the existing hardware on the truck. Then I drilled holes only in the fender lip (not side of the fenders) after that, I used paint to touch up the holes, filled the holes with a generous amount of clear silicone, then used push pins to adhere them (Christmas tree style automotive fasteners). Only real challenge was the front fenders have a rock guard on the rear edge. Passenger side lined up great but driver side required a hole to be drilled. You will see what I mean. Also, the flares came with the clips that snap into the sides of the fenders, I pulled all those off, obviously.

I've been wishing that the exhaust was a little better looking, but I didn't want a chrome exhaust tip, so I decided to try out a black tip with a 4" outlet, to match my blue and black theme that I'm going for. I wasn't sure whether I would like it or not, but now that it's on, ehh, I think I'll leave it.

What do you guys think?

Also, I gave the truck a good hand wash yesterday and took him up for some pictures today. There's no denying that the F-150 is a good looking truck, and despite my reservations about the Anzo headlights, they do look dang good.

Wheels are coming next. I'm going to hold up on tires, as hard as that will be for me, until these wear out. But I'll get at least some black wheels for now, that will make me feel a little better.

Looks great, where did you get the black tip? Also what wheels are you considering?

Black tip was just off Amazon. I shopped around on the F150 sites, but those were all expensive, and I wanted an easy return policy in case I didn't like the look. This one was only $30 bucks on Amazon, and man it's actually really nice. Super high quality and fit nice and snug.

The wheels I could actually use some opinions. I originally wanted these:

But I'm not sure whether the blue on the wheels will end up looking cool or ricey. I like the idea of having something a little different, but these things are also over $1500 for 4 of them, so I'm starting to lean towards something gloss black and cheaper, such as these:

These ones are simple, could look great, have gloss black and a lip (which I really like the wheels that have a deep-ish lip on them), and would be SO easy to clean, which is a big plus for me. Plus they're only $700.

I've also looked at something like this:

$900 and don't look too bad.

I've never heard of Truxx or American Eagle wheels, but I'm willing to take a little bit of a risk because of the good prices...

What do you think?

I like gloss black, but I am not a fan of wheels with fake beadlock holes on the edge/rim. Look at my build thread. I just put on Black Rhino Thrust in gloss black. They are 20x9.5" and a +6 offset. Raceline has a nice wheel thats a 6 spoke, there's a pic of it in my thread.

Nice, I do like those wheels. You've got a good looking rig for sure. Since I'm going for more of the off-road look I actually don't mind the milled circles around the edges, as when I got my last set of wheels I realized that even though it kind of mimics the beadlock look, they don't actually try to make them look like real beadlock holes, which made me feel better.

Thanks I do too. It's just a question of whether it's worth 2x as much just for the blue.

Also, I had a little fun with Photoshop to see what each of these wheels would look like on the truck, along with some other mods I'm thinking of doing before the end of the year. I originally didn't want one of these full billet grills, but I'm actually liking them more and more as it makes the front grill look YUGE without the outside trim. Makes the truck look mean. I just don't think I would like all the bugs inside the front end - it would be a PAIN to clean. I also flip-flopped on the hood decal, but after going back and forth with Photoshop between with and without, I think I like it better with, and since it's only $30 it's tough to go wrong and won't hurt if I take it off down the road.

Which is your favorite? After seeing these I'm actually leaning towards the American Eagles as the stark black difference in the wheels looks pretty cool to me.
