Edit: I made these text links...forum changed them all to image links. Okay I guess.

The Borla S-Type on my 3.5 is quieter than I expected. I guess that's probably the safe/good thing, since it's a V6, and there's a line you don't want to cross.

This is cold idle about 90 seconds after starting it up the first time.

First Startup

Cold idle after revs drop

Windows up interior, 20mph normal then go

Exterior, still burning off PB50

Exterior WOT

Interior WOT with passenger window halfway down

One of the existing vidoes I think gives a good representation

Installed "SEALIGHT H11/H8 Low Beam 9005/HB3 High Beam LED Headlight Bulbs Combo, 1:1 Size Design Plug-N-Play, 15,000LM 6000K Bright White CSP Chips Conversion Kit, IP67 with Fan, Scoparc S2 Series, Pack of 4"

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MNG5S5P

Price was $115, Prime

I watched the first few minutes of this video (most of the video is extra stuff for a more complicated kit)

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MNG5S5P

Before (those fogs don't look as green in person as in the pic)

4 bolts at 5.5mm each + the one plastic fastener (fingers) + 12" bungee to hold the lining back, with wheels turned out towards the side you are working on (turning right for passenger side). You can see the grommet for the high beam right there. Low beam is higher up

For the low beams, which are in the upper spot, super easy to align if you look at the locking tabs through the front of the headlight, don't try to get your head in the wheel well and look from the back (you can do that for the high beams though)

Three of four bulbs changed, brights on, please ignore the dirty truck and dirty headlights, drove in the rain on the highway yesterday and haven't been able to wash it yet

I'll get a better picture after dark

I moved slow and careful and took pictures, stopped to test each bulb after connection and before insertion and after insertion, and moved the truck around a bunch, managed to do passenger side in the garage but had to go to the cold *** driveway to do drivers side.

Still only took 1 hour. I could see this taking like 20 minutes if you had room and had done it before

Low beams old vs new

Thanks. And of course.

Short list is new shocks, I keep bypassing some simple Bilstein 5100s for the rear anyway since it's a simple install and they are not expensive but sooner or later I'll order those. When I have the money and feel like using it for the install labor and alignment I'll do front leveling shocks instead of these spacers I have now.

May end up getting downpipes sometime, maybe a larger intercooler.

Definitely want to get an STX style black honeycomb grill at some point.

I think the STX grill will compliment your wheels nicely. Lariat sport grill would look good too. I just did the rear 5100s and like them a lot. I also have a 2" spacer level, so the 5100s up front will wait awhile. The rears improved the handling of the truck in a more significant way than I thought possible with just replacement shocks.

Quite a few people have similar feedback from the shocks. Probably won't be long since I know I can install them myself and it's <$200 for both

Finally got my ngauge back where I can use it as a gauge. At first I used the included suction mount over on that left side but it would fall periodically and after tinting the windshield last summer I wasn't about to put it back.

So, $50, ebay, and some figuring it out real quick...voila

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ford-F150-5...9909?_trkparms

A trim tool and hard pull out then kinda up got the whole housing out. Then remove the louvers from the inside, as well as their frame, fit the simple little ebay purchased insert in, line everything up, route the cable through the remaining vents and then out the bottom outboard of the housing - towards firewall - under floormat and plug in
