Just ordered these…so tired of ordering different brands and sizes of straps from Amazon only to find out that they won’t accommodate any substantial sized bolts that I’d trust to hold anymore than brush or an ice chest down with. What a pain this “project” has become. 1” and 1.5” straps don’t allow for more than a 7/16” wrench between the frame and pin of the strap, so that limits you to a ¼” diameter bolt. A 2” strap allows for a 9/16” wrench 3/8” diameter bolt, but there is too much strap material to allow room for the hardware. Ugh…maybe (likely) I’ve over complicated this. At least going this route you get custom strap hook brackets. 🤦♂️🤷♂️

Went to empty the catch can today. It’s been installed for about a month and I had driven maybe 1100-1200 miles. Not a single drop came out. Just some stinky vapors. I’m extending my interval out to 2 months and will see what I get. I’m guessing it will not be much, if anything the next time too. Me putting over 1000 miles on the truck in one month is pretty rare these days.
It looks like you actually can remove the can without taking off the engine cover, but it’s a tight fit. I’m afraid I’ll break one of the PCV line clips and then likely be stuck ordering a whole new kit and not just the needed clip/line.
Overall, it’s less than a 10 min job, which includes getting and putting away tools too, so I don’t mind removing the engine cover.
