Yes its solid. Unbroken used a band saw and opened his up just leaving the slats. Looks factory.

I wasn't totally sold on this grille I put on there, maybe if I wanted a bullbar or something, it would look better, but don't want that either.
I really like the look of that front end! I seriously considered that lower grill as well, and painted to match might just look sweet. You did mention you wanted to get rid of the logo on there, didnt you? Painted Ruby red just might solve that. If I got that grill, I would probably have painted to match. Either way, can't wait to see what you do next.

Thanks Jon, just what I needed to know. Definitely have the tools to do that, and for as cheap as I can pick one up, no big deal if I screw it up.

John have you thought about leaving the bumper insert you have now and slotting it to accommodate the plastic bread box bump stops off the oem one? Or would that require alot of work? Then painting the metal insert to match then leaving the box's black?

Sorry about the slow delay yes it is solid you could cut out the space in between with a Dremel tool or hot knife then sand and paint to match

John that is the stock sport lower grill. You should have that sitting in you pile of spare parts LOL

i just went back and looked at your first post. I guess the eco boost is different than the 5.0
