Just got my 2012 fx2 and I've noticed there is some rusty spots! Drive shaft close to gas tank and behind the two front wheels ( suspension ) anybody here having the same problem ?

 

Surface rust is normal on the driveshaft and suspension. I think some are just worse than others but still nothing to worry about. Take a peek behind the dash sometime and see how much rust is back there. I thought my truck had been under water sometime before I found out that was normal too.

I had a 2004 lariat an still have a 2006 Xl ( work truck ) with 130.000 miles and I don't see any rusty spots, only on the new truck

 

the rear driveshaft on my 07 with 24K miles has surface rust on it...thats just the shear nature of steel
