The day was 6/11/2010

-I had spent 3 months and close too $1500 bucks driving and searching endlessly for the perfect truck, i was specific it had to be black,an fx4,5.5 bed and 4 doors a "supercrew", and additionally it had to have the center console shifter. I had hunted down appx 20 trucks looked at them inspected them drove them and then i laid eyes on what i knew was the perfect vehicle it was 3hrs away and it was ready for me to come get her. i went to where the truck was and knew it was the one, it wasnt perfect by anymeans but she would do.

She was black had chromed out plastic trim on door edges and chrome handles, with "4" 6in offroad lights drilled into the bumper, the foglights were holding about 2inches of water but i knew this was the one....

At the time shes was 2005 Ford F-150 FX4 with 104k on the clock. I handed them a check for $15,500 after i haggled with them down from $18,500

The day i brought her home, i was in the driveway 10min and ripped off all that hideous chrome trim, took the #4 6in offroad lights out of the bumper, and took the foglights out that were crying for help, and this is what she looked like my pride and joy


Unsealed and painted the foglight housings black, and plugged the holes in the bumper

and the holes i plugged off


next was a set of 55w 6000k hid setup


The cowl was faded so it needed attention so i refreshed it with Krylon for plastic

I Joined f-150 forum and through my research i found my first forum project the gotts mod.....with of course a K&N filter


So one day in Nov. of 2010 i get a call from a guy i grew up with asking me about my truck, "long time friend" he tells me in his barn he has a tonneau cover thatll fit my truck, his mom bought an f150 back in 2008 and it had a cover on it he took it off and if i wanted it it was mine, so i picked it up gave it a powerwashing, gave my buddy 50 bucks and told him to eat a steak on me for the free cover


so i sat around for the next few months planning out my next mod saved up some cash and was ready for my first makeover
black headlights and a Saleen s331 grille, led flashbacks, and led corners

It was really starting to look like something but, heres a few pic of the time early 2011





It was looking good i was really digging the blacked out look....
so it was time to do something with that old faded plastic fender flares and bed caps

Now its black thats where im going with this and im staring at these embelems that look out of place, so im on the hunt, what next and i find a set of saleen badges, and saleen floormats and i pull the trigger

So it's early 2012 truck is running good I got 130k on the clock

I discover that my lightly blistered cab corners are now gone








Added some accessory switches






Got me the edge programmer is been drooling over for months

[/ATTACH]Then the most expensive day ever happened, it's 7/17/2012 I get a medical run with the vol. dept, when leaving the fd I hear my brakes squel never made a sound before, stop at stop sign and boom rear brake pads go crunch metal on metal, park the truck wake up next morning go to town to buy brakes get to the city limits stop at first signal and crunch the fronts punch through I now I have limited brakes and they sound like ****, turn around don't even buy brakes cause I'm limping it already taking it easy with no brakes, just wanna get it home, half way home I slow down for a car stopping to turn to about 30mph on around him brakes are working ok sound like **** tho as I speed back up my truck won't shift into over drive pull over stop the truck check my overdrive button is as it should be get out examine everything it all looks fine check my trans dipstick smells normal drive home without overdrive park it go check it in an hr and this comes up






So I have a truck with no brakes front and rear And a transmission issue within 12hrs of each other Go to bank "Refinance my truck" (Got a ****ty interest rate cause I had to borrow against it) to get money to fix it Redo the brakes

And send my baby off too the best transmission shop in the Midwest, fords transmission out of Greenville Ohio builds transmissions for people all over the country, completely rebuilds it with a shift kit and all the goods

It's now fall 2012 I've recovered from the transmission issue

I've saved some money and it's time to address the cab corners, I buy replacement metal, saleen s331 hood (literally the last one known to mankind for sale) 2009 tailgate emblem,black tailgate ford emblem, and foose valance for front air dam,

Find a paint shop agree to a deal, redo cab corners, paint hood, bumper, fill in holes in bumper, paint valance, install emblems, repaint entire bed "fix chips around gas door" , paint mirror caps, install new bed bolts, wax and cut whole truck

Got the truck reprinted and upgraded in November of 2012 it's now January 6th 2013 and just my luck a deer runs into me and creases the fender, dents both doors and I loose my Saleen badge in the mix of a winter storm,

The damage













So I talk to guy who I've got all my Saleen parts from and he can't get it find any fender badges, so a month later I go back to where I hit the deer and luckily found the badge "thank god"

Contact my paint shop and "negotiate the new work" got the truck fixed and threw in some new xenon fender flares

It's now February 2013 my tires are shot on my factory wheels I mean the wires are showing so I pick out some tires toyo open country at II I want a 35x12.5x18 called around $1600 bucks is the cheapest I found, got ahold of a guy at SD Wheel Corp and he made me a deal I couldn't pass up, 18x9 fuel octane wheels, 35x12.5x18 Toyo Open Country A/T 2 II (extremes) mounted balanced ship too my door for $1950 (sold)



Added a 2.5 inch block to the rear
