Default 2017 White Lariat 4WD SCrew 6.5' 3.5EB 501a

My first truck. I wanted a truck I could drive my kids in (SCrew) and use as a truck (6.5'), so wanted the 157" wheelbase. Local dealer had one sitting on the lot that matched 99% what I wanted and the factories are all retooled for the 2018's.

33" is pretty much the biggest I could go without having to touch the crash bars.

Hard to tell from the picture, but at lock there's just barely over an inch of room from the crash bar on level ground. Any bigger and the tires would definitely rub going over any bumps.

Congrats on getting it on. Looking good. Who did the install for you, how much? Just wondering, because most local places want well over 1k for labor, wanted to keep it around $800.

Take more pics please. I want to see the stance, the rims and tires look kind of small in the close up shots.

Thank you! It was $1400, but I do live in the bay area, CA so labor rates are pretty high around here.

A few more pics as is, still debating on going to 35s.

The more I looked at the truck, the more I thought 35s would fit the wells better... so 35s will go on on Friday. I actually plan on taking this truck offroad so I will trim as necessary for full articulation.

At least the 33s don't rub at all, right? They look a little small.

Could've gone with a larger wheel. Would make it appear larger even with a 33. 22s would look great, my summer setup will be 22s with 33s.

Yeah, 33s don't rub at all even with full articulation. It can't get much bigger, even a 34" tire will rub at full lock over a big bump. Since any bigger would need some trimming, might as well just go to a standard 35" size. It should only require 3-4 inches to be trimmed off the crash bar, but we'll see!

I want more sidewall so the truck can be more functional offroad, 22s would definitely be much wheel for me. 20s would already be pushing it for me as far as usability. I totally understand that you have different purposes for yours and am stoked to see it when it's done!

I understand, my truck will only see pavement, so, for me it'll work.

Great looking build! You're right the 33's do look a little small in the wells 35's should be a great change without too much cutting! What kind of off-road driving are you going to be doing?
