Two all hwy trips in mine at 75 mph, 600 miles each way. 19.5 is all I can get with the ecoboost 3.5. I'm very dissapointed as I figured it should get what the EPA says it will get on the hwy which is 23 mpg. I tired a 100 miles at 70 mph, and Still could not get 20 mpg.

Thats the only thing I dont like so far about this truck. All other vehicles have owned either got the rated MPG or 1 mpg less, not 3.5 less

From what I've read, you need to keep it around 65MPH to get the EPA highway specs. Anything over 68MPH, your MPG drops like a fly. Sucks cause who drives 65MPH these days? At least in Texas, you better move if you're not doing at least 75MPH!

If you drive 65 on the interstate you are a hazard to every on around. Heck at 75 mph most the time you are the slowest person on the road.

My stingray gets over the rated mpg, and thats with cruise set at 80 mph. My wife's range rover is 1 mpg under rated at 75 mph.

Based on the other 10 or so new trucks and SUV's I have owned I was expecting 1 mpg under at 75 mph, not 4 mpg under.

How can every one else be so close and Ford so far off? This is my first ever Ford.

We were looking at a Lincoln to replace my wife's range rover in a year. Not now, mpg is important.

EPA is at like 55-60mph. I get 25mpg if I set cruise at around 63mph.

People drive SLOW in Oregon. I can set cruise at 63mph and not cause any issues at all. Our highways are only 2 lanes wide, it's miserable. I'm in Phoenix at the vacation house right now and fully enjoying the 6 lane highways and everyone driving 75-80mph. I'm in an Eco-Boost Escape down here tho.

Yep, all cars and trucks are tested the same. Yet my F-150 is the only one I have every owned that cant get with in 1mpg of the rating at 70 mph. My wifes Range rover gets one less than the 25 mpg rating at 75 mph. My 14 stinrgray gets 30.5 at 80 mph but rating is 29 mpg.

My first ford, this truck cant get with in 3 mpg of rating at 70 mph. It upsets me as I was figuring 22 mpg even though rate for 23. 19 mpg pisses me off.

Was looking to replace my wifes Range Rover in a Year with a Lincoln. Not now, will not look at a Ford product if they cant get close to what the mpg rating is.

Tires aired up correctly? Using cruise control?

Here's a picture to keep it relevant of my truck and my GF's stepdads '17 F350 Lariat.

Yes, tires are aired up to the specification on the door jam. Then the next trip I added 5 psi above to all 4 which was still lower than max on the side wall.

I have also tried with cruise and with out cruise. I can get .3 mpg better with my foot than cruise, but it still does not reach 20 mpg. It gets slightly better as on a hill I let the speed drop a little to keep out of boost.

Both are nice looking trucks. White is my go to color

Did you have to drill the bed for the pivot storage boxes?
