Here is the info on the TSB 14-0090 that was performed:
Some 2011-2014 F-150 vehicles built on 1/1/2011 and through 4/1/2014 may exhibit an intermittent click or snap-type noise from the rear axle on initial light acceleration from a stop while in drive or reverse. The noise may also occur on light acceleration after changing direction from drive to reverse, or reverse to drive.

The dealership called back and said I need front and rear brake pads, ASAPThe truck has 51,000 miles on it?!My one ton Dodge went 75,000 miles before the front rotors warped and there was still a decent amount of pad life leftOh well, for $120 they are doing the rear brakes (new pads, rotors turned)They wanted $450 for front rotors and pads...…..no thanks, I will do that myself this weekend

My truck had a brand new set of front brakes put on at 42k... It's at 80k now and those are going strong. I did the rears at 60k and didn't turn the rotors. I don't expect brakes to last past 40k especially if you do a lot of stop and go driving or towing. Honestly I think your expectations of a wearable component are a little high. I get that you are frustrated with it due to the clunking noise that would upset me too. However... this is just my .02...

I am VERY glad I did the front and rear brakes
Rear rotors were turned with new pads...……...front end got get pads and new rotors
The (front) inner pads were GONE on both sides......I think they might have been sticking also a tad
The caliper pins were still well lubricated, but the inner pads just looked like they are almost into the rotor
When I put everything back together, I re-lubed the pins with synthetic bake grease and also lubed the metal clips on the metal cage, so the pads can move more freely
So far, I gained over 1 mpg!!! I am now up to 18.6 MPG from my dismal 13.5 MPG (before the tire size re-program)

Ozarks was good, but the weather wasn't
On the trip down, used around 3/4 of a tank and averaged 19.5
This was with two adults, a kid, three full coolers and two storage totes full of food
I filled up at a Cenex gas station on 54, and averaged 17.2 on the way home
Only one full cooler...…….why such a difference? Different gas blend?

down hill on the way up? heavy foot? different gas blends... wind resistance on the way back... traveling with the wind at your back and the wind in your face makes a huge difference believe it or not.... lot of factors that go into that one.

My rear shocks are shot...…….I removed the bottom bolt on each and could collapse them with very little effort
Ford quality, again...……..shot at 55,000 miles
What are some good options?
What year Raptor rear shocks will fit?

Man, you really don’t like your Ford. I think 55,000 miles is OK for a set of shocks considering all the pot holes they have to deal with and these trucks aren’t light either. Any year Raptor shock will work in the rear, fronts are the issue. Most guys, myself included, upgrade to the Bilstein 5100 shocks. I have had mine on about 2 years and have been happy with them. They are certainly more stiff than stock and give the truck a more “truck-like” ride quality versus the softer stock shocks.
