Thankfully, I checked the catch can tonight......

It was almost full, after only 2 weeks the can filled up with almost 3 ounces of Ford quality mocha mixtures

I cant imagine how many fluid ounces the truck typically would ingest over a 12 month period

I also found out that the truck drives so much better with the traction control turned off

My winter MPGs have dropped to 13.1, yay Ecoboost!!!

13.1? I am still getting just under 16mpgs and that's with letting it warm up for a couple minutes every time i drive it

Yep, 13.1 MPG.......and iridium plugs that get eaten within 15,000 miles

Pretty pathetic mileage..........during the summer I can barely get 14.5

Well your 3.73 gears and heavy 34" tires don't help on the mileage. Guy I work with has duratracs and he said his gas mileage dropped quite a bit and he even kept the same size tire that he had before. I really love the 275/65r20 as far as looks but my next tire will just be the 275/60r20.

Maybe the Duratracs excel in deep snow...........in 6 days, we got hit with over a foot of snow

The truck did very well in 4HI......I even went through several roads that were untouched by the plows and drove through several plow snow banks that were well over 18 inches

I am still having to empty the catch can every week, in the cold the 3 ounce can fills up FAST

I still have this constant and non stop banging/clunking noise......very annoying

After speaking with many many people and a few local techs......they suggested getting a cheap tuner that adjusts tire size......to hopefully help the fuel mileage issue

These Duratracs are listed as being 34.1" tall, but once mounted on the truck I get 33"

I bought a used 42501 Max Energy for cheap and programmed it two days ago.......once I know the tire size is dialed in, I will need around with some of the performance levels of the tuner and see what happens

Right now I am at 13.5-14.0 mpg and 50,700 miles

I reset the trip/mpg advisor and drove the truck for two days.........looks like reprogramming the tire size paid off.

Should have adjusted the tire size a long long time ago.....I hope the number stay this high

Showing 17.0-17.5 mpg so far

What tires come on a stock 2012 FX4?

My door jam say 275/65R18........but would they have been Wrangler SRA?

If so, looks like the stock tires were 32.1" tall and my Duratracs are listed as being 34.1"

I adjusted the tire size NOT for how tall they are advertised as being, but what they measure once they are mounted on the truck

And now another issue with this truck......
my windshield wipers won't turn off!

Looks like a common problem on these trucks, with a new multifunction switch for like $30

I'll let the dealer deal with it when I take it in for the constant suspension clunking and creaking issue.....appt the last week of May
