2002 Screw restoration
#11
A few updates, upgraded the speakers and added a 10" sub under the rear seat. Added tow mirrors, and finished back seats. Still working on the piecing together the front seats. The ones that are in it are not the right ones, so I'm piecing together some from the scrap yard. Also put 55w hids in low beam and fog light projectors.

You only painted the hood and roof, correct? Can you see a noticeable difference between the coloration? I've never thought about repainting faded areas in fear that the newer paint would look shinier and newer than the rest, but I have some oxidation occurring along my top fenders and above my windows.
Beautiful truck, by the way.

Yes I only painted the hood and roof. But I clear coated the the roof and the rear pillars of the cab so there were no tape lines in the clear. I can't see any difference in the coloration. But I spent days clay barring and buffing out the areas that weren't repainted.

Have finally finished the front seats. It took about 3 months to find everything I needed for the correct seats. Ended up piecing them together from about 4 different seats and buying a couple replacement leather covers. Also added heated seat elements as long as I had them ripped apart. Won't get much use from them in FL, but plan on moving up north in a couple years. (I removed the green masking tape before installing the covers, just used to hold down until adhesive dried)
