Got this truck for super cheap head gasket is on its way out it’s a 2001 4.6L what would be the best engine to swap this out with to save me from rewiring anything. Been looking locally and there are not any 01 4.6L in my area.

 

Most salvage yards belong to a network and could source your 4.6 from anywhere and get it shipped in. Thats the route I would go.

Nect idea would be a 5.4 but I have no idea what changes would be needed but it’d be a factory option for that truck.
