Well its been a few days since my last post. Within that time, I finished my 3inch body lift, removed the stock exaust, and replaced it with my flowmaster super 44 as a single in, single out, exausting right behind the cab, fully welded. I also removed front and rear door panels. I tinted my windows 35% driver and passenger, and 5% on the the 3 back windows. The three back windows were already factory tinted, so with 5% on them, trying to see into the truck though the rear windows is pretty much impossible, it looks great.
Today, I ordered my 18inch XD monsters Chrome 9 inch's wide, 35mm offset. I had originally planned on putting 35" inch tires on my truck, however a second look at Maine state laws has stopped me. Apparently ME doesnt want you putting tires on your truck any bigger than 2 sizes bigger than stock. Now, Im not exactly sure what they consider 2 sizes bigger than stock, considering f150's come with a bunch of different sizes. My truck came with 20 inch roush rims wrapped in 275/55/20's. I plan on wrapping my XD Monster chromes in 295/70/18 Nitto trail grappler M/T's.
I dont know if this is exactly LEGAL, but I do know someone who's already offered to slap a sticker on it with those tires, so thats good enough for me.
Today I also ordered shocks and struts, I went with the best monroe gas shocks I could buy at Napa. The shocks were in stock, but I will be waiting for a week for the struts. This is fine, considering I was unable to borrow coil spring compressors from anyone I know, so i ordered a set for myself. I was unaware I would need them for the 2.5 inch leveling kit I still need to install but figured I would just wait for the new struts to come in before I bother installing the leveling kit and kill two birds with one stone.

This weekend I plan on looking around for a nice head unit, and a roll of good sound dampening Dynamat to heat / roll onto every door, the ceiling, and the floor of the cab. I will also be buying some MDF to start construction of my custom center console / sub box which I plan on installing two 12" kicker comp 4 ohm dual voice coil shallow mount subs.

I dont want to get to far ahead of myself on what amps, cableing, components I will be going with. Those are still undecided. I do however know I will be going with Hifonix amps, Just undecided on the model I will be choosing for the subs / components.

I do have a bunch of pictures I've taken of the stock exhaust, My new exhaust, the Window Tint, and the truck with all the bumpers on / completed lift. I was going to post all of these tonight, but looking back at all of them they are all poor quality and lighting. (most of my truck work is completed after work hours from about 1am, to 4am) So all the lighting sucks. I'll pull it out of the garage tomorrow to let the sun cure the tint, and to take some quality shots.

Thats it for now...stay tuned.

Pre-tint photoes, I did the tint the nest night and havent gotten any pics of it.

Here is a shot of the stock Muffler which is 18 ft long and 6 ft around. Its actually about the size of a small inflatable canoe.

Here's a snap of the exit behind the cab, I made it with the original pipe and a welder. Its not a borla, but it doesnt leak, it sounds awesome, And it wasnt 600$ Tomorrow I'll get a few undercarrage shots, and show you what I did to hang it.

Those are all the crappy dark photos I told you about, I'll get some better ones up soon.

not sure what you ment by reaching for the sky,
But if you were talkinga bout the exhaust you are correct.
There IS a little upward tilt to the exhaust, but i still havent twisted the end cap yet either, it was hard to get it to come out at a decent angle working with only cuttings from the stock pipe. plus, I have a body lift, so after it comes under the frame it has to travel up quite a bit. i didnt want it hanging 6" under the cab. The is exhaust is only temporary anyways, Im sure i'll do a full system at some point. But ...its better than stock

Heres a couple shots of her outside today. Its far from clean and far from finished. This is with 5% tint over stock tint in the back windows, and 35% tint on the driver / passenger windows.

For those of you who dont know me, The "GOT RAPTOR?" sticker in the back pertains to a YAMAHA raptor, not a Ford RAPTOR, Unfortunatly the sticker is only half as cool now that the ford raptor came out, it makes me look like a wanna be. Someday I plan on getting a 700r sticker for underneith it.

So there she is, letting the tint set in the sun, filthy, unfinished, and only moderatly happy.

Side note* I did get my Monoe sensors installed lastnight on the *** end. Still waiting for the struts to come in.

Side note #2,
As you can see in the pictures you can see the crushblocks for the bed. This is because I have yet to install the Hide-a-gap kit that came with the lift. The kit recommends you retorque after (i forget how many miles). So I plan on driving her around for 500 miles or so, re-torqing then installing the hide-a-gap kit.

Also, Ive purchased some lights I plan on mounting to the rear bumper for reverse lights.

06" get yourself a nut breaker, or nut cracker they go by both names. I priced a bunch of them and the go for around $25 bucks each. There are two designs the open and closed. I have always used the open one, see below, you don't need them very often but I am here to tell they will save you untold hours, so often nuts that are seized up can twist off the end of a bolt no big deal there but a twisted off stud, damn, It also helps you spiritually because it reduces the length of time you spend "speaking in tongues".
Line it up on a recalcitrant nut and start cranking on the end with a wrench it forces the cutting blade into the nut and splits it after which removing is easy. You are not going to reused rusty nuts like this anyway.
