I pulled mine out yesterday and I didn't see any springs anywhere. The only thing I saw when I looked back in where the cup holder goes is a piece of wire hanging down about a 1 or so, looked like a coat hanger kind of wire. And the light don't work.

Thanks for the great write up on this, just fixed mine the other night and works great now. My spring was still in there so i just had to screw it back on.

For the longest time I want to fix this but didn't know how but fixing it now and now to get this little light to work lol

Just for info, the light is a #37 or 74 you can get them at oriellys and use either #.

Default spring

My spring fell off so i screwed in back on and now it wont set flush with the dash.Any ideas?
