cool thanks luckythirteen13, also do you notice anymore power being its not pushing the fan around anymore? Any Tennfire are you talking about luckythirteens motor or mine? i have a 4.6 but a 5.4 engine and tranny sitting in my garage soon to be dropped in. I think he said he had a 4.9L

Yeah, I didnt know. I know they make one for the 5.4L, and when I called to asked if you could drop the same unit into a 4.6L, they said they wouldnt recommend it bc of the amount of fab work to be done for it to fit. I wish they did, I would have bought one a long time ago.

yes the improvement in power was noticed immediately. most of the power gained was down low and in the midrage but some hp was gained up top.

tennfire, i have a 4.6L

There would not have to be any done at all besides pulling the shroud off. My buddy just has his wired to a switch inside his truck (turbo'd chevy xtreme) and thats just a cheap way of doing it

on my 05 that gray connenctor was no where to be found...finished mine and used the radio's ignition wire for my fan controller ignition wire.

thats because the grey connector is for the stock electric fan clutch. the 05's did not have electric fan clutches, 06 was the first year with it.

I am waiting until after mine is toast at 75K before I do this and the pulleys.

if you dont mind me asking where is the air conditioner wires located to the passenger side front part of the engine? and where did you get your controller from? i love you right now and hate you, i really dont have any money but this mod seem perfect for me i love fabing something up to make it work
