I broke four loose and sprayed a little PB Blaster and carb cleaner down each and then let them soak while I broke the other four loose and removed the COPs. By the time the second bank was broken free and soaking, the first four were ready to come out. I got the plugs at O'Reilly's for $7.49 each, the Lisle tool at Amazon for $58 and the anti-seize at CarQuest for $8. Now I need to return or sell the Lisle tool.

If any of you guys still have a lisle tool that you don't need, shoot me a message and let me know what price you'd take. I'm gonna do this in the next couple weeks and need to buy a lisle removal tool before I start.

Awesome! Just ordered the SP515s from rockauto!
I've been meaning to do this for a while now..and when I originally wanted to do this and went to our local Partsource (Canadian Autozone) for plugs it was $220 for 8 plugs!!
Got them at Rockauto for 80.82 shipped! Thats a hell of a deal.

Success!
My strategy:
1. Run a can of sea foam thru the engine a few days prior
2. Run the engine up to temp, crack the plugs, spray PB Blaster in the plug holes. I let mine soak for a full 24 hours
3. Removed them with my electric impact
What a relief!!

Fantastic write up. One typo though.
Hi,
The OP has a great write up for this plug change. I have all of the tools, plugs etc... and am ready to give it a whirl. I noticed in the original write up that the OP has the new plug torque listed as 25 in lbs. I believe that should read 25 Ft lbs. Hopefully everyone got their plugs plenty tight. Again. This is the most complete step by step procedure I've seen. Thanks.
