It ran alright. The reason they look so bad I believe is due to the removal process which pushes the porcelain all the way down almost through the tip. However, it misfired nearly every time I would give it gas going up hill. The first thing I did after changing them was hit a big hill near my house and it was very smooth.

I bought my truck at 118 but didn't notice any plug symptoms until I started feeling the uphill shudder. I did some research and was intimidated by the plug change but now that I did it I wish I had done it earlier especially since my change was nearly worse case scenario and I was still able to get it done in a day. Too bad though I love seeing passengers' reaction when I'm hitting the gas up hill with the old plugs... The consensus was usually something like "I think your transmission is going to fall out of the truck"

Anyone with a 2008 and the Brown boots, running into any issues?

Used seafoam deep creep sit for about an hour after i cracked the threads then just worked them out. The seafoam is 100% petroleum based penetrant and the guy at napa swore by the stuff
