The radio has to be compatible to a reverse camera, if it doesn't have the option or where to plug it in, then I'm sure it's impossible to make it work.

What he said..

The only way to get the rear camera video into your head unit is to have a "video in" connection. You might be able to find a rear view mirror that has the small video screen and hook it up to that.

Sorry

Feel free to ask questions if you need too.

Good luck

After my research I found it's possible, I think. There are 6 wires on factory plug. Video in, video out, power, and ground. One of the 2 that's left might be reverse trigger. There's one black one that's not used. That's the camera.

The head unit has to get spiced with the reverse wire on the driver side kick panel. That's basically it I think. That's what my research gave me.

As I starting started double checking all the wires. I took off the tailgate handle and tried to fit the camera on the tailgate handle I realizes that it was the wrong camera. they sold me the emblem camera. I'm so pissed. So I gave up With the oem nav setup.

I purchased the kenwood dnx 9990hd. And a aftermarket camera of eBay. Was gonna install this weekend that passed but my alternator went. So mad.

I'm gonna sell my oem stuff as soon as I get my other one running. Hopefully this weekend .

hey guys. pulled out the oem unit and installed my kenwood dnx9990. i installed the mini camera in the tailgate handle. ran the wires from the tailgate to the grommet under the driver side. i connected it to the black and pink reverse wire and positive and negative from back of radio. it works, but my pictures keeps coming in and out. not sure what to do. i think i might be getting interference somewhere. I'm thinking this because i ran the positive and negative and rca video in the same protective wire wrap tube. and idea what it could be?

I doubt running them in the same sleeve would do it because that's how I have mine. It's more likely a loose connection.

I check the camera plugs. I taped them close. I checked the coupler and taped that. Gotta check back of radio. Some one told me it could be the RCA cable.

Anyone have a location on the reverse wire for a 2012?
I can't pull out the wire housing and there are a few wires that are taped up which could be one of them.
