I know what kind you are talking about but I am talking about the kind that goes in the middle of the leaf pack and adds a little lift too. I like those more because they stiffen up the ride a little and do not allow it to sag as much in the first place, instead of starting to work when it is already sagging.

Okay I see what you are saying. Yeah if you remove your block (Depending on how much lift the leaf spring adds) you should sit about level.

It won't be perfect, but it will be close enough that you wouldn't be able to eyeball the difference really.

Hey guys,
I have a '13 FX4 with what I understand to be 2.25 and 2.5 lift kit. I got the kit put in before I left the lot at Ford. I carry heavy *** pumps and hoses all summer long in the back and have really noticed the sag. I want to do the AAL, I'm looking at Supersprings HD SSA9 model or the SSA28 model (not HD).
Will these add lift to my back end additional to the current lift? Which model do you recommend I go with?
I do a ton of highway to get to Lease Roads and they are generally a mess of bumps, holes and ruts, really puts the suspension through a gauntlet.

I'm guessing you don't want anymore lift. If that is the case you need a Helper Spring. A spring that won't engage your suspension until you achieve a certain level of sag. These generally sit on the very top of your leaf pack.

An AAL is generally stuck somewhere in the middle of your leaf pack and will achieve a certain amount of lift.

That makes sense, I'm pretty sure thats what the Supersprings do, won't engage until there is a load. Looking for advice on what level of assist I would want, the Heavy Duty or the not as Heavy Duty.

How much weight are you realistically putting in the back of your truck?

If sub 1k lbs I say the non heavy duty.

And if your vehicle payload allows for >1K lbs get the HD

They aren't working for me either. Sucks when a how to post is made but the users post pictures from an external source and then move them. Hopefully I can do the work without the pictures just based on the written instruction.

Bumping an old thread here. Hoping someone can add similar pics to the OP’s original broken links.

I have the parts for this, I just need to find time. I have a question and am sure I’ll have more down the road. I have to lift the rear of the truck by the frame to extend the suspension correct? Do I have to lift both sides or can one wheel be on the ground while I work on the other side?
