What do I use to clean out intercooler?
After Chirstmas I'll be installing dual air/oil seperator catch cans on my eco. My truck is one of the EBs that seem to accumulate some oil in the IC. I would really like to get a Full Race IC but that's not in the budget yet so I want to clean this IC out for a fresh start. Cleaning all the intake piping is a no-brainer but what do I use to get all the oil out of the IC without damaging the core and/or end tanks?

Paper towels come to mind. It accumulates at the charge air pipe opening, so it is easy to get to. You could also prop it up so it drains and then wipe the remainder with a rag or paper towel.

Boost :)
Purple Power or good old gasoline will do it too. I've cleaned out dozens of intercoolers that came out of cars with blown engines, turbo problems, and other carnage. Gasoline seems to clean it out best. You of course need to rinse that out with water and let it dry but it will get it extremely clean.
May not be the best idea, but it works really well.
