Cool Truck Pulling a ecoboost F150

Need some help guys! I want to truck pull my 2011 Ecoboost in the local fair coming up July 10th. Have any of you done it? Do you manually select a certain gear and let it rip? Boost launch? Im thinking 4 low and not allowing it above second gear. Let me know what you all think!

I have a livernois tuner and a injen intake so far. I am considering putting on a catback stainless works exhaust before the pull.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There are a few videos floating around on YouTube which might have some explanations of how they ran. There are also a couple other threads in here with some info.
Good luck and be sure to let us know how it went!
Oh and videos are nice too. Put a friend trackside ;-)

Put it into 2nd gear 4lo so it launches and stays in second the whole pull. Build around 1800 to 2000 psi for boost, let off brake, then once it gets moving and wont wheel hop drop the hammer and dont let up till you feel the sled stop you. Most people dont notice how fast that sled will stop you when the weight reaches the front and digs the plate in. I let off before im stopped completely. Enjoy the rush! and yes you will end up doing it again!

Whats the weight class your shooting for?

HA! There were a few guys in michigan i heard were tearing up the stock diesel class with eco's last year. Im sure they had tunes and better tires tho. Our little baby turbos would prolly fit INSIDE the ones they use in the 3.0 class.

Ok, I'm a geezer and don't know what is this truck pull stuff y'all boys speak of. You hook ye trucks up to something heavy to see who can pull it the best? Or is it pulling a float real slow through a parade? Hey, I don't know much. Used to know a whole heap, but don't know hardly nothing now.

Hook ye truck up to something to see who can pull it the best - hmmm, y'all boys ain't right.

I'm going to hook my truck up to the big oak tree in my backyard and see how far I can pull it.

Boost launch it 4 wheel low. Make sure you get some weight in her to get better traction. Sand bags behind the seat works best.
