it doesn't. I'm just saying that's kind of the only thing the 5.0 has over the EB.

I know **** happens but man, seems like every month something else comes up with my truck/ecoboost , timing chain cover leak, spark plug end seals, both taken care of by my dealership but now for the past couple months I've been getting a clicking /popping sound on hard acceleration with puffs of smoke out the exhaust in sequence with the sound. I've gone through everything a few times, plugs, gas.... , been to dealership twice to no avail.
Figure though it would be just my luck I'd get a new 5.0 and get the engine knock lol

My personal truck is my eb, work truck is the 5.0, only one hiccup with the eb, the 5.0 has the knock but runs great.

Honestly the two things I had the truck in for warranty work on I'd might have never know if I wasn't always inspecting/messing around with my truck. Ran strong the whole time.

I'll take low end grunt and acceleration over sound any day. But, to each his own.

I pull heavy every weekend with my 5.0 13 STX supercab 4x4. I really like how it pulls it does a great job max capacity of 8k. The 15 is even stronger, so set up with deeper 3.73 gears than my 3.55s you will be fine. I usually lock out sixth and just cruise along in 5th at 70 to 75 mph at 2200 to 2300 RPM and she handles the load like a beast.

I don't tow much except for a jet ski. lol so if you are towing and want the max amount of power go EB but if your like me than go 5.0. The EB is an amazing truck - Just not for me. I hope I helped a bit and didn't offend anyone - not my intention.
Towing a jetski and an 8k trailer could not be more different. If you lock out 6th with the 5.0, it tows well. Like was previously stated, the useable torque is where the EB shines for towing. If you're going to make an engine decision based on "sound" as opposed to choosing what you need to get the job done the best way possible, then it's not worth arguing with you.

I'm leaning towards the 5.0 but some extensive test driving will be a must. Who knows, may go with the 2015+ year ecoboost after test driving that. Either engine the truck will most likely be 2017+ year
Thanks for the input guys
