It can occur at colder temps. The following link shows a picture of a recent CAC replacement in a truck in northern MN. http://www.hotspotoutdoors.com/forum...84#Post2955237

Thanks, I know it happens in colder temps as this is my 2nd Winter with the problem. I had wondered about Ice forming and blocking flow, which that pic confirms. I think that is really the first pic on here that actually shows water in the IC.

Just amazes me how there is the specific air temp cutoff where mine will do it and where it won't. I'm hoping the new CAC will remedy my miss/shudder under load as well, but soon we will see.

I think it all depends on your locl weather. Lots of people in the Houston, TX area have the problem in much warmer temps. Lots of people in the southeast mountainous area have the problem. I had the problem in the Georgia area and the temp was 68.

Are you having the problem now in Albertville? When are you going to get your new CAC? How long have you been waiting for it? Keep us informed of you results. I've been holding off, hoping for a fix that somehow drains out the water.

I agree. Temperature wasn't as big of an issue for me. It's been the humidity or rain, moisture in the air

Drove 50 miles in the rain this morning in 60 degree weather. No problems whatsoever in my 2013. Couldn't be happier.

My truck is a 2012 with a build date of 7/21/2012 and I have had no issues at all with 4500 miles on it. If it is related to condensation, it may be the weather conditions here in kansas. However me and 2 other friends do have the slight studder when accelerating about half throttle. This condition i have noticed is not always there and higher octane fuel appears to make the truck run better.

I do agree that the higher octane fuel seems to help. Ran 91 pretty much all of my truck's life and just recently switched to 87. Along with re-installing the stock plugs, tune, and the boost leaking CAC and this trucks isn't running very good. If it ran like this when I test drove it, there's no way I would've bought it. Build date of 12-2011. Waiting on the updated CAC to come in now.

Just curious were was the boost leaking at on your CAC. Do you think it was related to a rock or FOD ? and do you think some kind of grille would of protected it.

The outlet tank is separating from the core at the very bottom. It leaks oil from there as well. That's how I noticed it. It's been going on for a while actually but it's getting worse (both the oil and boost leak). Not road debris related although, I do have a billet grill in the bumper for that reason.

Wow , any thoughts on the oil leaking from there .
