They even said it would void the warranty. Now they need to restrict the cooler because it works to well. I guess this explains why the folks that put the lower grill on have not had any problems with it causing damage. My question is why don't all EBs have this problem if the cooler works too good on one it should work the same on all of them. I live in Kansas with high heat and high humidity so mine should have the same problem but doesn't.
Where did Ford say they would void a warranty over a lower grill? I have a lower grill and I have the problem.

I'm taking it in Wednesday to have them see if it registered on the computer. My truck only had the issue pulling a trailer on the Oregon Coast when it rained on and off.

It's terrible that when they know clearly there is a performance issue they won't take the owner's word. I assume they think I just want to bring in my truck and leave it for awhile because I'm lonely for contact with Ford service writers. This is why people have no loyalty for multinational corporations. People are either simply faceless consumers or a labor resource temporarily necessary to make a profit... at least until sales slow down, or they can open a plant in a 3rd world country... but then... this is a discussion for an "Off Topic Post" & those get me in trouble!
Actually my dealer is pretty good. Small town though and they've only had a couple with the issue. Mine is sporadic so getting it to shudder when the service manager is with me is hit and miss. He believes me, just has to experience it.

Oh, and I've got the lower grill too.

Called my dealer this morning, they haven't heard of it yet. Service manager is supposed to look into it and call me back on this TSB and if the motor is in for my rear window.

I'm guessing parts won't be distributed for a couple days, hopefully get mine in next week.

Im wondering the same thing? Ive never heard of that before.
Just out of curiousity-I dont have the cndensation problem-but what do you guys expect Ford to do other than the deflector? Just curious. not trying to start anything...

Someone should also dyno the truck before and after the "fix" and see if there is any/much of a difference.
Good luck fellas!

What is meant by "a too efficient intercooler" They are designed to lower the air intake temp. Most people are trying to get bigger ICs into turbo cars. Lowering the air temp does reduce the charge density (boost preasure). Is that the issue.

Is the deflector restricting air flow are is it deflect air into to the intercooler? The cooler the air, the less likely it is to detonate (ping). If the deflector forces more air through the IC, I want one.

I was expecting some type of add on water separator or trap not a plastic deflector.
