I agree. I'm beginning to think the root of the "condensation" issue is a weak ignition system. The condensation just amplifies the problem.

Has anybody looked at adding aftermarket coils? I know nothing about the company but Accel has them out for the Eco. $70 a piece on autoanything. Are they garbage or good quality?

Holy crap $420 for just coils seems like a lot to me. Accel makes decent products not like MSD but decent

Case in point is the Buick gn. The inter cooler is mounted low like the ecoboost, with the inlet and outlet at the top. One of my buddies is a true gn expert and has never even heard of a condensation issue.

If it is in the ignition system/coils, then I must've gotten a bad replacement set as well. That was one of the first things they did to mine last Spring and if anything it got worse. I started to believe it was getting worse because of the humidity rising... That was my reasoning for buying into the condensation issue. Now, I believe it's a combination of lots of things. Almost like once one thing goes wrong it has a domino effect on the rest of it. At least in my case...

The hard shifts that I worried about that were " normal"... I posted the pics of the leaking rear end that they fixed... On the way home from striper fishing with my father on Saturday night the transmission froze. Trying to get back onto the interstate I noticed the transmission temp was high. By the time we were 15 miles up the road it was red lined. I slowed to get over onto the shoulder and it wouldn't downshift. Never came out of 6th gear. Trip number 18 back to the dealer

I had the misfire 2 days after the fix and then installed my tune tune a week later and I still get it. And on the replacing coils thing it shouldn't be my responsibility to fix it. I have run the numbers with my sales lady and we have figured out that I need to stay in the truck for at least another year to break even. Since the fix it has run well except for the occasional misfire and not posting the same MPG I was getting before so I'm not gonna chase my tail and leave it at the dealer until the CEL comes on again and or some thing else breaks. I got 2 small kids I have to run around and job that requires me to drive around so I can't be without my vehicle for long periods if time.

Thankfully no. Just tow haul... I just talked to the service manager at the dealership and he wanted to know why I was towing in 6th gear!!! According to him I should've cancelled out 6th gear and kept it in tow haul thereby not allowing it to shift into 6th gear....

Obviously not every f150 is like mine. I know I happened upon one with a gremlin in it somewhere but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed in how ford has handled my situation. I'm not in on any of the law suit stuff as I'm not a fan of that sort of thing. I know now that if I wanted another truck I should've gotten a lemon law attorney and pursued it that way. Hopefully they can fix it and get me back on the road. Or at least fix it to get it to run another year and I will just trade it. If that's the case though, knowing the hit I will take on it, I'm not sure I want to give more of my money to ford. I hate that too because if mine ran like the ones without the issues I'd love it.
