Okay thanks for the advice. A quick update, I was driving my truck again today and put it in neutral at about 20 mph, I revved the engine to a pretty high RPM at or above 4000, I didn't keep it there but a split second, I just gave the gas pedal 1 good quick pump, as the Rpms went back down to around 2000-1500 I put it back in drive at around 15 mph like I have done plenty times before in the past and BAM, throttle stuck and truck started barreling towards the busiest intersection in town, this time I slammed the breaks, threw it in neutral then in park before I was stopped completely, otherwise would have ended up getting t-boned, then I shut it off. What the heck was that all about? I have done that hundreds of times before with nothing like that ever happening and my foot was completely off the gas and Rpms low when I put her back in drive. Obviously I won't be messing around any more until I figure out what is going on. Thoughts? In hind sight I obviously should have hit the e-brake but everything happened so fast it was just a reflex.

Did it pick up speed when you put it back in Drive, or did the engine RPMS just spike because you were moving 15mph or so, and you popped it into first gear?

It picked up considerable speed when I put it back in drive along with the rpms going up as the throttle was sticking, I put it in drive, not sure which specific gear it was in though.
