Default SCT Tuner and the dealership question.

Should I return my truck to stock for basic oil changes done by the dealership? Thanks.

No not for a basic oil change. Only time you should return it to stock is when you are having any major work done. Maintenance shouldn't be a problem.

I usually recommend yes. Should they need to at all go into your PCM during an oil change? No.... BUT I have had some customers who take their vehicles in for the most minor thing, the tech sees there is an update for something and they go in and reflash the PCM. They should tell you when they do that, but not all do.

Only takes couple mins to reflash back to stock and then back to the tune.

If you dealership has a "quicklane" then I don't think you would need to because they only specializes in oil changes, tint and small things.

Yea that's what I was saying. I work in the quicklane at my dealer and we never touch your PCM unless ur in for something that requires it.
