ROUSH Phase 2 dyno
I have seen a phase 1 dyno, 414whp, and I have seen a 6.2 phase 2 dyno, 480whp, but I can't seem to find a phase 2 5.0 dyno. Based on these two, I assume it would be around 450whp, but I'd like to try to find one.
500whp doesn't seem all that far off and difficult to achieve, still keeping conservative tuning. The compression is a little high for big boost, so I am just trying to get an idea what is still in the safe range.

Don't worry about dyno numbers as no two dynos put out the same numbers. Dynos are tools to measure gains, losses, and how torque is being made (power under the curve).
As far as compression being high, with e85 you can run 18-22 pounds and be fine but the rods won't take the kind of power you're making!

I looked in to E85 for the Mustang, but we don't have any E85 pumps in the area. I don't think I plan on pushing the F150 like that anyway for exactly the reason you stated. I figured I would go with a moderate custom tune down the road, then just rebuild with good parts if I break a rod. Would probably need oil pump gears and a few other things, so I'll be stashing away the cash for it all

I have yet to see a coyote break a rod that didn't trash the block, so don't go too crazy.

While we're in the topic of rods, did any of the F150 coyotes ever come with boss rods? I was under the impression that the 13-14 coyotes in the mustangs started being built with boss rods. Not quite a strong as true forged but supposed to be a little bit tougher. Also anyone know what a f150 coyote can safely handle in terms (as in not windowing the block) of rwhp?

No, the rods in the 11-14 F150 were never upgraded to anything like in the Boss. The interesting thing is, the 2015 mustang GT has better rods than the 2014 Boss. I am very curious if the 2015 F150 have improved rods too. Its my understanding that the 2015 GT Coyote has rods about the equivalent of the Aluminator.

Unfortunately, there aren't a ton of stock motor, boosted, 5.0 F150s out there. If it means anything, I am aware of one guy that ran his DD truck for 55k miles on 510whp before he broke a rod. He ran it at the track from time to time as well.

Hmm you don't say? Seems like Ford can't get wholeheartedly behind giving F150's love on the bottom end as far as rods are concerned. Terminators got forged rods, while lightnings got full forged with powdered rods. That decision I'll never understand. Would love a fast car but God saw fit that I can't fit in them so I'm stuck with trucks. Judging by cafe standards these gen F150's might be the last with a V8 so I'll probably pick up the last year RCSB and go wild.
