Sorry about the spelling mistake, stupid fat fingers and an iphone...

Anyway, I Just dropped my oil and am leaving the drain plug out for a few hours to allow all of the oil out before I attempt to test the HPFP to see if gas will come out of the oil drain plug. Has anyone done this? Can I just cycle the ignition to the 3/4 accessory mark to test the HPFP? Any help would be appreciated as I have to leave work by 5pm today lol Cheers

The HPFP is driven off the camshaft so it only pumps when the engine is running. I think the test the dealers use is for leakage and requires an overnight sit (or at least 8-10 hours) to see if gas comes out.
