Talking New engine! …issues

Long saga before finally replacing my 5.0 engine with one from Powertrain Products. Before that, I had the dreaded #8 misfire that my original mechanic said had good compression so I pursued electrical. Replaced PCM, coils and engine wiring harness over a period of 18mo and still had the issue so took it to another mechanic that said the compression was only 40psi so there it was - the valve issue… after all that. So to pull the heads and re work you have to lift the cab which obviously adds significant labor - I was quoted ~$3,500 all in for that -or- I could replace the whole engine for around $6,500 -or- try to sell/buy a new truck. Explored that option for a few months but wound up not making economic sense in this market. So the truck has 205k miles and weighed the pros and cons of both services and bit the bullet and went with the new (reman) engine that addresses all the known issues with the 12gen motor with upgrades like high flow oil pump, new heads, etc…So anyway, I am about 2,600 miles into the break in period and I am getting a small amount of oil in the catch can (installed a long time ago) which is normal, but it is mixed with I assume water? Condensation maybe? Hopefully this is normal with engine break in? Also after all the electrical switches and before the engine swap I have had the low oil pressure warning and light come on and still comes on after the swap and after two pressure sending units (motorcraft) - any ideas on this? After the swap, I was till getting the P0420 code and wound up having to replace the Passenger side Catalytic converters- which I found odd since the bad valve was on the driver side head. That code cleared and then got the b2 s2 O2 code - so replaced that - only to find out it was unplugged when I got under the truck but at $50 I replaced while it was there. Finally, the truck is running like a dream and no pending codes!! Fingers crossed I can get it to pass inspection finally after 2 1/2 years!!
