Default New to the 5.0 got a slight knock at warm up, gone after a decent drive

Hello I’m new to the 12th gen game with a 5.0 160xxx. I got it as a new daily so I can build my 10th gen back up to running. After a few days of driving it I noticed a light knock once it warms up and I drive it around a bit. Coming from the passenger side. But on a longer drive 25-30 minutes it disappears. I’ve read a few forums but never got a straight answer or couldn’t find much on anyone experiencing the same. Oil pressure is fine, no lights on the dash no sudden loss of power. Only notice it on idle and it doesn’t seem to get louder or faster when revving the engine. I plan on buying a stethoscope to see if it’s coming from the top or bottom end. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Here’s a video of what I experienced. I added Lucas oil stabilizer to it and it got quieter than what’s in the video.

There have been reports of the 2011/2012 5.0's having this issue. Usually due to the cylinder being out of round. Not much you can do about it, but many have put on tens of thousands of miles on trucks with these issue.

Sounds like an oblong cylinder. Mine does the same thing.

If it has made it 160k without getting bad you are probably fine. Seems like the real bad ones had to have engine replacements by 30 or 40k

I once had a similar sound.

I ended up switching from a Motorcraft Oil Filter to a Fram ULTRA Filter and never heard it again.
