Those are a joke. A screwdriver can pop it off.

Default Gas cap

I also am worried about sand getting into it when you put the nozzle in. Will just a normal gas cap fit? Funny how what used to come standard and cost less is now without and costing more.

That's what fuel filters are for.

Nope, I'm not buying that my fuel filter is there to trap sand that should not be there in the first place. Google the Ford oem filter, and it says it removes up to 90% of particles 20 microns or larger.

So 10% still find their way, and with the Ecoboost direct injection, that is not good for the injectors. So you do it your way, and I will put a lid on mine. If you have something intelligent to add, fine, if not, please don't waste my time.

These are nice. I have one for my 2009. May not be needed, but it makes me feel better.

Beach Sand is listed at 100-10,000 microns in size....

I've been dealing with DI engines with pressures 10x greater requiring filtering down to 3 microns since 2003. Don't even try to tell me what and what not a fuel filter is for and what they will and won't catch. Trust me when I say that sand is not going to clog your injectors because it won't make it that far.
