I've heard that the oiled filters can play havoc with the mass air sensor wire.....if any oil is pulled into the intake and gets on the mass air wire, the engine cannot read what should be the right air/fuel mixture............check and see if yours is clean or not?

Default hmmm,

Definitely something amiss like was said earlier make sure you have the mass air sensor installed right with the opening in it facing the air filter and it is plugged in.

I have the K&N cold air kit along with a tune and true dual exhaust on my service truck and I average 21 MPG in the hills of East Texas with at least 1000 Lbs in my truck all the time. My truck is a ECSB 5.0 with 3:55 gears.

I'm running a k&n intake on mine and I didn't lose any mileage. Didn't gain anything but didn't lose anything either. Put your stock air box back on and see what happens. It's easy enough to switch out.

Ya. Takes me 10mins. Leave the k&n in one piece an just remove the clamps from each pipe that connects to the stock pipe, unplug the map sensor, and lift it out. Swap the map sensor back to the stock box and put it back together.
