I second everyone's comments about mike not responding or being short with responses when you try to adjust your tune. I wish I would've went a different route due to no service after the sale. Thinking about trying mpt or the others. As of right now I would not recommend 5 star.

The 5star tune transforms the truck into the way it shoulda been from ford. I really believe ford would have sold more trucks if it were this way from the factory. The throttle response and part-throttle torque make it feel like a big block. I have no complaints. I can't comment in customer service because I haven't needed any.

To second this Rick was great, but he was in sales/marketing. Their main tuner guy is still there and continues to tweak with what they offer (hence v10 now).

X2 No revisions needed on my part. The only tune I didn't like from Mike was the performance tune, and that is because it did not have the part throttle torque that his perf/tow tunes do. After going with other performance tunes, I found out that none of the ones I tried so far had the low end of the 5 Star. I have yet to try Socal, but I have just given up on more tunes since I really don't race in order to need a performance only tune. My curiosity might get me to try the Socal somewhere down the line, but I am happy with my 5 Star especially after trying some of the others.

I too have experienced this phenomenon. It will work great out of the gate then a few hundred miles into it i will experience a lower power level. It's like i will atempt to accelerate, it will create a lot of boost but no pick up until you squeeze the throttle a little more then it will finally come to life but not like it use to. It's kind of hard to explain.
I have the 87 p/t tune.

Yes, Rick did leave. Rick was the Marketing/Media Production guy here at Livernois. Our tuner is the same tuner we have had since day 1 on the EcoBoost vehicles. No need to worry about anything folks! I have since been hired to help fulfill the job of Rick, as well as 4-5 other people helping with answering emails, and distributing tunes. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to PM me on here or e-mail our staff at info@livernoismotorsports.com. Thank you very much. -Chris

I'm actually wondering if anyone tried the five star 87 economy tune on the 3.7 engine. If so, how effective was it at increasing fuel economy?
