Then don't add it. Yes you can remove it. Easily? If you call flashing your truck back to stock easy then yes. It is a risk for sure, just like adding an intake or exhaust. If Ford or the Dealer say you modification caused the part to be broken, then it is your pocket book.

They are pretty basic, handheld units that plug into the OBDII port. The tuner will upload a file to the ECU and run off the update parameters set by the tuning company. To go back to stock, just use the tuner to flash back a stock file. It takes less than a minute to flash the computer, and most of the tuners have preset selectable modes so you dont have to worry about doing any setup.
When flashing back to stock, the dealer is unable to tell a program was there, just that the computer system had been accessed
