Fx4 70-75 mph 5.0l mpg?

There are so many variables that play into each persons mileage report it is unlikely to ever get a good compare. Different road surfaces, tire brand, tire size, axel gearing, driving habits, out door temp, humidity, wind. My wife would tell you she is a very gentle driver. I would tell you she is either on the gas or the brake and the car she drives never just coasts. I think one thing everyone would agree on is a 15 mile per hour head wind will cost 1 to 2 mpg at highway speed.

So it is possible after all. I had doubts because I do 100 percent city driving and am lucky to get 800kms to a tank. I did a trip to BC and was able to get 1050 kms to a tank with 130 liters of fuel...I mean wow in a truck like this. I was pretty impressed. I do have a Airaid CAI and 5star tune and magnaflow exhaust. Not sure if that helped or not.....

It was the first time since owning my truck that I had to fill it all the way up from empty to full. I got 20.5 MPG all the way home. Which was only about 38 miles, but I was kind of surprised compared to what I've seen the last week.
I will report what I get off of this full tank, but I think it looks good! I got about 15 MPG off the other half of my last tank. Which wasn't bad cause I drive about 20 miles on a full drive to and from work each day. Most of it isn't fast driving as just a little stretch is only 60 MPH and then the rest is all main streets in the town.

2011 FX4, 3.73s, factor 20s, 4wd supercrew. Did my first ~400 mile highway trip last weekend with family of four and a decent amount of stuff in the bed. A little cross-wind, but managed 18.3mpg with the cruise set at 72ish. Around town, I've been averaging like 13mpg. I live in stop light hell and get frustrated with traffic at times.

I have a Scab 4x4 3.73 stx but the same exact tire tire and wheel as the fx4. When doing 73 and hit reset it says 20.8 thru 21.7. My lifetime avg is 19.6. My truck runs so perfect.

Thats a little on the poor side but not horrible... I now have 10k miles on my 12FX4 with the 5.0 i have Tested my MPG, in all conditions many a time by now NO BS here is what i get
19mpg @ 60
18mpg @ 65
17.35mpg @ 70
16.5mpg @ 75
16.0mpg @ 80
AND on the limiter for 30 min "reset gauge" 95mph it got 14.2mpg lol
So yeah i pretty much loose 1mpg per 5mph over 60 lol.. Scince i typically cruise about 75mph, and see little to no offroad, if i had it to do over with again i would have gone with the 3.55's instead of the 3.73's in my truck pretty sure that would have bumped my mpgs @ those speeds up by 5mph so instead of 16.5 @ 75 i would get 17.5
