I'd just like to point something out here. No doubt Ghost has taken the term "patience" to a superhuman level, but there are a couple of things that are obvious here:

1. Whichever failure caused the repeated engine destruction has never been corrected. Meaning it's most likely related to the fuel or electrical systems.

2. Engine failure is extremely rare in these trucks regardless of which engine. So it doesn't seem logical to be concerned about this happening to your truck.

3. Both Ford and the dealers should have done a better job with diagnosis, repair, and taking care of Ghost. But that doesn't mean that the EB engine is a ticking time bomb. Just his.

^true.

It's hard for me to have any faith in an Eco anymore. If I had a 5.0 I'd feel the same way about that engine.

Like I said before I'm not even mad at my truck. Something is wrong with it. I just think I've gone past the point where ford expects I should "deal" with it.

I've put up with an awful lot for the privilege of giving ford my money.

Wow this is just appalling and sickening with how you've been treated by Ford. I cannot believe that they've let you get to your fourth engine in that truck.

I hate to say it but I bet that GM, Dodge, or even Toyota would have made things right with you a long long time ago (ie after the first replacement engine went out). I'm a Ford guy too (I drive a 2011 F150 and my wife drives a 2013 Escape) but I wouldn't blame you one bit if you took your business elsewhere...even if they replace your truck.

I know that Ashley is looking into this for you and she's limited with what she can do, but really it shouldn't have even had to get her involved. Ford should have stepped up and done the right thing way before now.

If I were you I'd get a lawyer, and get the media involved. Ford hasn't cared one single bit about you and what you've gone through....time for patience and understanding is over. Go for the jugular and get the story out there.

At this point you'd think Ford would want this truck back so they can dissect it to find out why it's ****ting through engines like there is no tomorrow. But it looks like they want their technicians to gain experience in swapping engines.

X2 what Largefarva said.

Media would have a field day with the new ecoboost motor getting **** out by your truck four times consecutively.

Other truck manufacturers would probably love to help you get the story out too. Hell, maybe THEY will give you a new truck for the story... haha. Unlikely but that would be awesome.

Ford better get off their ***... YESTERDAY.

Do it man. It's likely the only way that Ford will treat you right and get you out of that god awful truck, and into something that will last for more than 1200 miles at a time. It's downright disrespectful and shameful with how they've treated you so far.

If a thread with 50 something thousand views doesn't mean anything to ford I doubt a newspaper ad would.

I'd also prefer to not spend anymore money on "ford" if I can help it.

I won't be buying another Ford. Once I'm finished with my 12 FX4 I will look at GM or Toyota. This is unacceptable. Reading this makes me embarrassed to have purchased an F-150 and I can't imagine how Ford employees who have read this thread feel.

Ford needs to make this right. Now.
