Ashley, it's been about a week since you (Ford) got involved and I don't see where Ghost is any closer to a resolution. This has to be the highest profile Ecoboost failure on this board, with thousands of people following it hoping Ford does the right thing. Hoping Ford does something. Anything. How long are you going to let this poor guy hang out there, with the third (?) engine replacement, before someone says "enough is enough" and grabs the bull by the horns? I work in the service industry, and this is one of the most pathetic cases I can think of. As a life long Ford fanatic, I am ashamed and disgusted. This isn't meant as a personal attack on you, Ashley, but on the company you represent. I still hope you can get something moving on this case.

Just had another call back from Canada rep.

She's trying to get an engineer from ford to go look at the truck. Says she will know more in about a week. Guys at the dealer are "working" on it. I asked when this would happen and she said its summer and people are on holidays so she didn't know.

I asked about another truck or a loaner and she said that's up to the dealer to take care of that. LOL. The dealer doesn't even have courtesy cars.

I did say if ford had sent an engineer out at the time the second engine failed that would of been great. My feeling is this is too little too late.

So basically no new truck. No time frame on repair.

This is laughable.

My Eco has been in the shop several times and my warranty runs out in 4k miles. After the 6.7 issues and the eco issues, I am going to try the Ecodiesel for Ram as soon as it gets on the market.

I know if I ran my business like this I would be out of business in no time. Its not a good looking for fords future. I traded mine off once it started acting up.

Yeah, at this point anything less than new truck is laughable. I would tell them that their engineers can look at it after you get your new truck. You fulfilled your part of the contract for paying for a new truck, now all you want to do is keep an engine in that truck long enough for you to use what you already payed for.

I was just referring to the documentation Ford would provide to the dealers through Oasis on procedures for these repairs. Obviously there are other moving pieces at fault here for it to continue to toast your motor. Like I said, these internal processes should not impact you whatsoever. You should be made right for the major inconvenience, and Ford should be letting engineering figure out what went wrong here. You should not be continuously put out because of Ford's inability to repair this truck through the dealer channels. By them putting an engineer on this case, that is essentially saying the local dealer does not have the expertise to deal with this. Once again, not your problem.
If they want time for Engineering to work with the dealer, someone needs to put you in a truck to lessen the impact on your life. You have paid, and are still paying good money for something you can not use, at no fault of your own.

To me, at the absolute minimum, you should be given a well equipped truck immediately, and when your truck is ready, it should come with an extended PremiumCare warranty. If you already purchased a warranty, that should be refunded.

If ghost doesn't get a new truck, I (one of likely many) probably won't be buying another Ford. I wouldn't want this to happen to me. I have been lucky so far and don't want to test my luck if this is the kind of service I could potentially experience. Yeah, I live in the US and we have the lemon law, but I wouldnt want to go through the hassle for something that Ford should own up to anyways - Ford should be doing damage controll and going out of their way to make a customer that has blown 4 engines happy once again. Instead, they are just going through the motions.

Your loss Ford, we (me and my family) buy fleets for our multiple businesses as well as our personal cars . Not to mention others that will be turned off by Ghost's experience.

Thanks for the support.

I just spoke to the service manager where the truck is now.

He said plug 4 disintegrated. As in missing. As in not even there.

Anybody ever heard of that?

What makes me mad is I've never touched a spark plug in this truck and I'm the one who's out a vehicle.

Leave tomorrow to go back to work so my updates will be short.

Newbe to the forum here, still waiting for my 5.0 to be delivered but have been browsing for mod ideas and came across this mess.

Not sure this truck's bad ju ju can be overcome but what about getting them to drop a 6.2 in there instead of another Ecoblast?
