You cant compare a 6.2l na truck to a 3.5l tt. That would be comparing peak numbers, but peak numbers are worthless. To truely compare these trucks you would need to data log runs on a dyno and overlay the graphs.

I don't have time slips as we never raced at a track, but I have ran a buddies 2011 limited 6.2, and my cousin's lariat eco, with my fx4 eco, about 1/8th of a mile in the sand. I know it's all relative and you can take what you want out of it. We probably lined them up 10 - 20 times that day.

The 6.2 (with aftermarket 22's and 33" at's) was getting beat consistantly by 3+ truck lengths by my cousins stock lariat eco. I would consistantly pull 2 truck lengths on the 6.2 with my fx4 eco (with aftermarket 20's and 33" mt's)

I also have another friend who has a eco fx4 with the 4.10 gears and he raced the limited 6.2 on pavement (not on the street) and was pulling away from him pretty easily. (they are actually brothers)

This is my real world experiance between the 2 motors. I am not loyal to either, as I would have been happy with both. These are just my observations.

I was really surprised when I test drove a SCREW Raptor (6.2L, 4.10 gearing) and a SCREW FX4 (3.5L, 3.73 gearing) back-to-back.

The Raptor definitely made much more noise and commotion, but the EcoBoost definitely felt quicker, and not just a little bit!

Was not expecting that at all... I really wanted to love the Raptor to justify the extra $$. Although not that much more in MSRP, after rebates and dealer discounts, it's a pretty big price spread. Ended up loving the FX4 Eco.

There was a guy on the lightning forums ran 13.8 at 100 with a 5.0 tuned. Very impressed.

There was an STX F-150 with a 5 liter at Lebanon Valley New York over the weekend. Ran a 13.8 @ 100 with just an SCT tune by Evolution performance.

Whatever they say they run at the 1/4 I would still love to run the new ford. 2 weeks ago I ran a 6.2 from a 30 roll and took it by a truck so im eager to run into a eco boost but no luck so far

My 2wd S-crew Eco went a 14.63 - 94.5 mph with a 2.08 60 ft. Truck had 2500 miles on it, and was warm since I drove to the track and got right in the lanes (was about to rain). I just left it in drive and had a passenger. I wanted to try the tow/haul setup to see if it was better, but I only got one run. Oh yea, this is in Florida and it was 92 degrees out.

That doesn't sound unreasonable to me. Again, going back to the Tundra example, the Tundra RCSB's run 13's stock with "381 hp", so a tuned 360 hp 5.0 should put it right there with it.

I can't wait to see if someone buys a RCLB EcoBoost and does some piping and tuning mod's. I think it'll have 12 second potential without going into the motor or replacing any major components.
