I really wanna get pipes on my truck but everyone says that if you remove the muffler it voids your warranty. I feel that if you pay $45,000 for a 1/2 ton truck you should be able to do what you want!

Comments and concerns would be awesome!

Just buy the "pipes" and put them on. It's your truck and if you want to customize it so be it. Just be prepared that if something goes wrong and your dealer doesn't cover it that's the cost of playing. If you can afford a $45k truck and want to customize it be willing to "pay to play". Otherwise, do as some others here have chosen to do and wait out the warranty and mod it out... Additionally, if you search the threads you'll find numerous voided warranty posts.

Plus they have to prove the Modifications caused the problem. They can't void your warranty if they claim an aftermarket exhaust caused your radio to go out or some other absurd relation.

I'm willing to bet that 99% of dealerships aren't going to void the warranty because of an exhaust system.
