Okay it's been a week after the last update still don't have a truck Now something is wrong with rack and pinion and the AC is plugged up
I went to the dealer ship 2 months ago and none of the AC lines were protected they were wide open is one of our coldest winters we had a lot of rain too
it's been there since 12/15/18

I have a 2013 ecoboost. At 268000km, the phasers and chains were replaced. Couldn believe how smooth it ran when it came out of the shop. At 273000km, they told me my head gasket was bad. I had them check it prior to the timing job for disappearing coolant and overheating. Needless to say, I was pissed. Ended up with a 2016 motor with 16k km on it from a write off. It's in the truck now and there is approx 77k km on that motor. I'm suspecting another bad head gasket. Just noticed 2 days ago. I can hear the waterfall sound of coolant pouring into my heater core. I'll be monitoring my levels, as well as my oil but I think I'm getting combustion gas into the cooling system. Anyway, I've decided that I will replace the head gaskets on the original motor, as it's got all new timing components and it's on an engine stand. Then, I'll just have the same shop swap motors again as that's a little over my head. Anyone ever do head gaskets before on this motor?

I just got a call saying there is literally a hole in my ecoboost engine block. Just over 100K... My family and I have always bought Fords... I hear Ford will do nothing for this situation. In this day and age with the precision tolerances of these machines 100K is a ridiculous amount of wear to have problems. Most non-US vehicles regularly get more than 200K miles. Its a bad joke. If Ford will not stand behind as someone said "less than 1% of their vehicles", then I will never buy Ford again. Tesla just produced a Truck last year for under $40,000 (Which as everyone here knows is less than many F-150s new) and I don't have as many moving parts, and don't have to buy gas and oil... I'm gone, along with many non-sentimental thinking individuals.

Well, I am getting a new engine. Will cost me $8000 CND installed. Ford and the dealer I took it to are paying the balance. The dealer I bought the truck from doesn't want to help at all. Really disappointing to say the least. Anyway it could have been worse, I'm still not impressed that the engine blew but you gotta move on. If your in Alberta and want to know who helped me and who didn't PM me.
