You will use the step more than you think, and you don't always have to put up the handle to use it.
I use mine all the time and I can't tell you why other than for various things. I rarely haul big loads either.
And don't get too hyped about the HIDs. They are subtle compared to most "bluish" HIDs.

When I test drove the truck Friday, it rolled off the lot with 4.5 miles on it. Upon delivery today it showed 10.5 miles. I took it out showed it to my parents and let my pops and uncle drive it. They were impressed. The more I drive it the more I am impressed with it. I was nervous walking into the dealer today cause other than my truck being the typical gas hog 5.4 triton it needed the front bumper resprayed due to rock chips in the FX4 painted bumper. Other than that it needed nothing. I am very excited and feel comfortable with my decision now and I assume it will only get better from here. It feels good to be "spooling" lol
